There are lots of causes for back pain including mechanical problems, wear and tear or degenerative changes, facet joint problems, disc herniation, arthritis, Ankylosing Spondylitis, etc. Sometimes the pain can radiate to either or both legs, often called sciatica.
We can refer you for investigations if appropriate. These include X-ray, MRI and CT and bone scans.
We also offer advice on injection therapy or surgical procedures that may be beneficial to you and discuss appropriate specialists to refer you to.
Often conservative physiotherapy methods including manual therapy, acupuncture, manipulation in combination with specific stretches and exercises are the key in back pain recovery and prevention of further episodes.
